"One powerful God encounter I remember was when I was a new mom, sitting in the back of a world missions class with my baby. I was feeling energized one moment, then seconds later, an intense migraine shot through my body with a nausea that made me want to vomit. I dropped to the floor, unable to hold my baby anymore. The missionaries leading the class ran over to me to discern what was going on. They immediately prayed, "Father God, we rebuke every demon that is trying to block Janelle from walking in her missionary purpose right now." "When I joined the Saints and Soldiers community I was so broken, hurt and walking in shame. I was so confused about my faith, truth and who God is. Being a part of this community for the past 4 years has become a huge turning point for me. I learned how to surrender all that I thought I knew about religion and embrace God, the Father as MY father, and allow Him to parent me in the places of brokenness. I have experienced a transcending love, which has been a beautiful painful process. I'm learning to die daily to my own self will so Christ can transform me into His image. It reminds me of John 14:18; He will never leave or abandon me. The most beautiful part of this process is that I don't have to do this journey alone.
